This webinar offers a space to examine how unconscious bias can influence the care we provide and to explore concrete steps we can take to address its impact, especially on Black birthing individuals.

CE/CME Credit Hours: 1.0*

Learning Objectives:

  1. Recognize and mitigate implicit bias in clinical interactions.

  2. Implement culturally responsive care strategies to promote equity and improve outcomes.

*Participants must attend the entire duration of the webinar to be eligible for Continuing Education (CE) or Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits. Partial attendance, joining late, or leaving early will result in ineligibility for CE credit issuance. Attendance will be monitored, and CE certificates will only be provided to those who meet the full participation requirement.

 
 

About the Speaker

Orinthia King, DO

Orinthia King, DO, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician with a focus on clinical ultrasound and global health. She completed her medical degree at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and residency at Jacobi/Montefiore in the Bronx, followed by an Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. She currently serves as Director of Clinical Ultrasound at a New York Community hospital.
