We are here to help
The Seleni Institute provides psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families experiencing mental and emotional health concerns surrounding reproductive, perinatal, and family-building experiences.

Intake Process
Once you have requested an appointment, our intake coordinator will reach you by phone to determine if our services could be beneficial for you. Every individual seeking mental health care at the Seleni Institute goes through the intake process, during which we discuss the current issues that prompted your call, treatment history, identification of additional life stressors, contact information, as well as fees and policies.
If we determine that therapy at Seleni is the best option for you, we will facilitate an appointment with a Seleni clinician to discuss treatment goals. The intake process can take up to three weeks; this process includes your first call with the intake coordinator up to the initial appointment with the clinician. If an outside referral better meets your needs, we will refer you to appropriate treatment options, including clinicians or programs in the community.
Telephone and online HIPAA-compliant videoconferencing psychotherapy services are available in some circumstances. If you are interested in learning more, please discuss directly with your Seleni provider. If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911 or your local emergency service.
