The Seleni Institute is a global nonprofit dedicated to transforming mental healthcare by addressing the unique needs of women, mothers, and families.

Through direct clinical services, professional training, and advocacy, Seleni works to close critical gaps in reproductive and maternal mental healthcare.

  • Therapy for Individuals and Couples

Our clinicians provide individualized therapy for individuals and couples facing challenges related to reproductive health, perinatal experiences, family-building, and significant life transitions.

We offer personalized psychotherapy both in-person at our New York City office and via secure telehealth for residents of Florida, New Jersey, New York, and Virginia.

  • Women's Mental Health Training Courses

Our evidence-based training equips healthcare professionals with the essential knowledge and clinical skills to confidently support individuals navigating reproductive and maternal mental health challenges.

Designed to improve care quality across every stage of life, our courses give providers the tools they need to better serve women and families with compassion, confidence, and competence.

Impact

1 in 5 women experience PMADs and 80% go untreated.

We’re here to close that gap.

“I went into therapy feeling like a child and came out feeling like I had truly grown as an adult. I do not think I would have the healthy relationship I have today with my two children without the support I received from Seleni.”

“Far too professionals in mental health and maternal-newborn health struggle to fully recognize the unique challenges bereaved parents face and provide a compassionate, judgment-free space as they navigate profound loss. This training is essential.”
